  • General Surgery
  • General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. It also deals with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft tissue, and hernias. Our Specialist well trained in this respect to handle any case.

  • Anaesthesia
  • Our team of 7 consultant anaesthesiologists provide a wide range of specialist care ranging from pain management, paediatric, cardiothoracic and neuroanaesthesia.

  • Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Our team of 3 surgeons provide a wide range of services include pacemaker insertion, closed heart procedures, oesophageal replacement e.t.c. Plans are underway to provide open heart surgery in the near future.

  • Neurosurgery
  • Boasting one of the oldest Neurosurgical units in the country, our team consists of 3 surgeons with impressive resumes. Services offered range from Brain tumour surgery, spinal fixation, endoscopic and microscopic procedures are also available.

  • Oncology
  • We have one of the few Linear accelarators available in the country. This allows our patients benefit from modern radiotherapy for treatment of cancers and other tumours greatly reducing the side effects experienced by the patient.

  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • LUTH boasts of the first assisted fertility success in Nigeria, since then the hospital has continued to provide a wide range of services for women including routine antenatal & delivery services, laparoscopic interventions, Fibroid surgery e.t.c. There are private delivery suites available for women in labour as well as continuous monitoring of the fetus and mother via a Cardiotocograph machine.

  • Radiology
  • Our radiology unit hosts most of the modern imaging tools required to arrive at conclusive diagnosis in the care of patients including a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine, A CT scanner, several Ultrasound machines capable of performing Echocardiograms, doppler & duplex studies. We also have a team of very experienced radiologists who are able to discern between the shadows and come up with reliable diagnosis.

A hematologist is called in when symptoms or tests indicate anemia, blood clotting disease, blood count irregularities, or platelet irregularities. To diagnose diseases, hematologists perform intense analysis of the blood, blood cells, and bone marrow cells.
